The Great Federer goes to the finals

Yet again the mighty Swiss Roger Federer has beaten the American Andy Roddick in the semi-finals. Federer has faced Roddick 17 times, Federer has won 15 of these games. Roddick won the last time they met in a match. Now Federer has to wait to see if he has to face his rival Nadal or another Spaniard named Fernando Verdasco.

The Red Devils

Manchester United is number 1 in the Premier League Positions. Just like the past year they were down the Premier League Positions, until they passed the New Year break. Manchester United are going for their third consecutive Premier Cup, but their biggest rivals are trying to stop that from happening.

The winner is...

Florida Gators are ranked number one after they beat the Oklahoma Sooners. That was one of the best College Football games I have watched. Both teams played the best they could, but the Gators had a better quarterback than the Sooners did. To me the best part was when Tim Tebow (Florida Quarterback) did the Gator Chomp in front of a Sooner. Even though I am Longhorn fan I have to say that any team deserve to be number one with the exception of the Sooners.

11 years and going...

This has been the best and worst year for Cruz Azul. The thing that makes this the best year is that they made it to both finals in the Mexican League. The sad thing is that they lost both finals. In the first final they got out played by Santos 3-2 was the final score. In the other final they lost to Toluca in one of the most exciting finals in the Mexican league. Cruz Azul only lost in penalties, but it hurt all Cruz Azul fans to see the team lose their chance of ending their 11 year cup drought. Next year Cruz Azul has to hold the cup at the end of the season, if they want to keep the fans and their spot in the top and biggest clubs in Mexico.

The Finals

It is finally the last two games of the Mexican League season and it is down to the last two big teams (Cruz Azul and Toluca). Both of these teams are looking for their ninth cup. If Toluca wins they will be the only team to win multible cups in the short tournaments. This is very important for Cruz Azul because if they win this they will end their 11 year cup drought.

Its over

The 2008 tennis season is over. It is incredible that Rafael Nadal has done something that many people thought couldn't happen. He took the number one spot away from Roger Federer. This would have crushed anyother player, but not Federer this only made him train harder so he can show his rival Nadal that you can't stop him. Many historical tennis players say Federer is the number one tennis players in all the history of tennis. For example Jimmy Connors, the old number one in the world said,"In an era of specialists - you're either a clay court specialist, a grass court specialist or a hard court specialist... or you're Roger Federer". Federer won Laureus World Sportsman of the Year in 2005 to 2008. My favorite tennis player is Roger Federer because he has done more in his career than any other person ever.

How the mighty have fallen

This was a horrible year for Mexico's national team. The once #10 ranked team in the world will finish this year in the top 30 if they are lucky. Once named the fastest developing national soccer team has fallen. I have been following Mexico's team since I was little, but now it seems they have no real urge to become one of the top team's in the world. I was shocked that Jamaica didn't take Mexico's place in the fight to go to the World Cup. The players that Mexico has right now have been named as the golden group that will change the history for the national team. I guess that the stress is making them play like this, but they have to get over it to help Mexico get to the spot they should be at.
